Eyelid Aesthetics, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Borman

There are two main points to consider in eyelid surgery. One is the amount of excess skin, whether it's sagging, and the other is whether the fatty tissue bags beneath the skin are visible. We perform various surgeries based on these factors. We remove these bags. We remove the excess skin and tighten it around the eyelid. This is a very delicate procedure. If too little skin is removed, we may still see some dark circles on the eyelid. However, if too much skin is removed, and it prevents the eye from closing, a second surgery is necessary. This problem can be resolved by placing a skin graft in this area.
