What is Maxillofacial Surgery?
In addition to his expertise in Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Borman also holds a diploma in Maxillofacial Surgery. He has extensive experience in these areas. He performs surgical treatments for facial and scalp tumors, tumors originating from facial bones (such as the jaw, nose, and cheekbones), and oral tumors (such as the tongue, cheeks, gums, and palate).
Tissue deficiencies that arise after tumor removal are surgically closed with tissue transfers (grafts).
Facial deformities, developmental problems, and congenital anomalies are surgically corrected. Facial bone fractures and deformities are also corrected with surgery.
Following burns, deformities in organs such as the eyelids, mouth, cheeks, and nose are corrected. Scarring is reduced/removed or made less noticeable through various surgical and non-surgical methods. Visible deformities are corrected using maxillofacial and reconstructive surgical principles.
